Special requirements call for the adsorption of solvents onto activated carbon. The adsorber vessels – also available in redundant or multi-stage design – are designed and manufactured in accordance with ATEX directives. The scope of supply from R. Scheuchl GmbH also includes the entire piping, power supply and control technology with control cabinet, visualization and programming.
In this application, a volume flow of 6 x 200 Bm³/h, laden with a total of 26 kg of ethyl acetate per hour, is cleaned in activated-carbon-filled adsorber vessels. The process runs in two stages, with regeneration taking place by means of steam. The clean air falls below a value of 50 mgC/Nm³.
