R. Scheuchl GmbH is a medium-sized family business for special machinery, automation and process plant engineering. We develop and build machines and systems that did not exist before: from feasibility studies through design, control technology and in-house manufacturing to installation, on-site commissioning and after-sales service.
Company founder Richard Scheuchl laid the foundation in 1962 for a corporate philosophy that combines engineering expertise and manufacturing know-how. Out of foundry technology, a second strong field has grown over the decades: automated special-purpose machines and production cells for series production – handling, robotics, process monitoring and interlinking from a single source.
Because design, electrical engineering and manufacturing are all under one roof, we can realise customer-specific solutions even for a batch size of one: systems for the foundry industry, special machines and automation cells for the automotive and supplier industry, and process plants for environmental protection and heat recovery.
Special machinery and automation
Whether restacking cell, drum inliner system or LDS coating line – we develop machines along our customers' process, not along a catalogue. Machines that did not exist before. We see automation not as an add-on but as part of the machine: handling and robotics, control and drive technology, process and quality monitoring, connection to production planning.
Award-winning – and in operation worldwide
Special machinery proves itself not in a brochure but in ongoing series production. In 2013, the BMW Group honoured R. Scheuchl GmbH with the Supplier Innovation Award – for the development of the arc wire spraying process (LDS process). An award that is not given for catalogue products, but for plant technology that made a manufacturing process possible in the first place.
The fact that our machines also produce reliably far from Ortenburg is ensured by our own subsidiary in China: Scheuchl Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. in Shenyang manufactures, assembles and supports on site – to the same design and quality standards as the parent company, but with a local supply chain and local service. For customers with plants in Europe and Asia this means: one contact, one standard, two production sites.
