Decoring Station for Gray Iron Crankcases

Reference project
Description
This decoring station was designed specifically with a view to high robustness and high casting flexibility.
The entire plant concept is based on a shuttle system that is responsible for casting infeed, feeding, holding during the decoring process, as well as casting output. Once the casting has reached the decoring position, it is pressed upward against the casting centering and the impact bar by a lifting unit. The casting remains unclamped and can thus vibrate at its natural frequency. This effectively breaks adhering cores. After the decoring operation, the casting is lowered again and conveyed out of the decoring station via the shuttle system.
