Decoring Cell of a Raw Part Machining Line

Decoring cell with rotary table and Shake Champions

Reference project

Description

Via a rotary table, 6-cylinder crankcases are brought into the decoring cell. In a process step upstream of the actual decoring process, the ingates of the casting are removed by means of a stationary circular saw. Subsequently, the cores of the crankcases are broken at a separate pre-decoring station. In the final step, the robot places the crankcases onto one of the two Shake Champions 165 PSP R. There they are freed from all core sand by vibratory decoring. Using a shuttle, the crankcases leave the decoring cell and are transported to the downstream raw part machining.
