Robot-Guided Band Saw Station for Cast Nodes

For sawing operations on band saws, R. Scheuchl GmbH offers multi-axis, customer- and casting-specific travel units both as individual components and as complete machining systems.
The applications include the removal of gates on crankcases, the separation of feeders on cylinder heads and saw cuts for separating double castings. All technically feasible processes are possible, as each solution is tailored specifically to the respective requirements.
The band saw station described forms part of an overall machining system for cast nodes. The cutting process is carried out by the robot-guided workpiece at the band saw. The overall system has two such stations. The resulting return material is guided to the conveyor system arranged underneath by means of guide plates.
