Thermal post-combustion

Thermal post-combustion systems (TNV) are used primarily when alternative processes are unsuitable for technical reasons. Examples of this are silicon-containing exhaust air streams such as HMDS or exhaust air streams with CMR substances, where strict cleaning standards are required.

These systems handle very high solvent concentrations between 5–9 g/Nm³, but have a “comparatively low thermal efficiency”.

To increase cost-effectiveness, downstream heat recovery is offered in most cases.
