Activated Carbon Systems
Activated carbon systems from R. Scheuchl for the recovery of chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons from exhaust air streams with fully automated desorption processes.

Area of application
The activated carbon systems from R. Scheuchl are used to recover chlorinated hydrocarbons such as tetrachloroethylene (PER) and dichloromethane (DCM) as well as aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene and xylene (BTX) from exhaust air streams. The process works discontinuously and thermally reversibly by attaching gaseous substances to large-area surfaces.
Desorption processes
For the desorption of loaded systems, the company offers fully automated regeneration systems:
- Steam desorption
- Hot-gas desorption
- Vacuum desorption
Condensate management
- Physical separation (decanting)
- Wastewater stripping unit
- Solvent processing (distillation)
Realised applications
- Filter manufacturers
- Membrane manufacturers
- Pharmaceutical industry
