Regenerative thermal oxidation

Due to the high thermal efficiency of a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) scantly polluted waste air streams are efficiently and economically cleaned.

Thus, the waste air contaminated with pollutants flows through several heat accumulators. These heat accumulators, also called regenerators, internally consist of ceramic honeycomb bodies.

Thermal energy is absorbed or released by cyclically switching the heat accumulators and the associated change in the direction of flow. As a result, thermal efficiencies of up to 97 % can be achieved.
