Crankcases with forced cooling and re-cooling unit
The crankcase cooler is based on the principle of a tunnel cooler with special flowing nozzles. These flow against the crankcase on different sides, under certain angles and certain positions. Thereby an effective and fast casting cooling is reached.
By means of a conveying system provided by the customer, the crankcases are brought to the unit in transport cups. With a converter they are distributed to the two cooling tunnels. There they are transported in jam conveying system. On the other end of the cooler the two cooling lines are re-combined again with a second converter to the conveying system. The complete cooler consists of two of these cooling units with four cooling tunnels in total and two re-conveying lines for the empty transport cups. Additionally, the unit has a re-cooler for the cooling air, so that it can be driven in recirculated-air operation.
